Story of the Week 2

We come across a small group of young children grouped together near a field.
"Mr. Norrix told us we shouldn't go out this far." Said the tallest of this group.

"You don't have to come with us Todd." Said the only girl of the group.

"Well I think it sounds like a good idea." Said a voice that sounded like a thirty year old straining to talk as gruff as possible. "Wait, what's that sound?"

"What sound?" asks the one called Todd. Just as he says that they all turn off to the right as they all heard at once a rumbling sound getting closer. "Wha, What is that?!" then a mass of old men ridding segways came out of nowhere heading towards them. The swirling molasses of man and machine approached at a break neck speed of six miles per hour! The kids all turned at once to flee the area, but as they all did this at once they all slammed into each other and fell onto the ground. Looking up Todd saw them coming ever closer. He tried to crawl away but even so they flowed onto them, the children's screams hidden by the sound of hundreds of small electric motors.
